My two new Green Texas Terror Cichlids

I got this pair of GT's last saturday and they have acclimated nicely to the 55 with the two JDs. Here are a few photos of them..

Thanks... yes, it will be.. and at some point I will figure out what I am going to do about it.. hehehe... maybe a larger tank is in the future lol..

Oh my goodness Kate they are beautiful..How big are they now??..They already have amazing color..Hmmm..I passed up the chance on a breeding pair for 20.00...Shouldn't have, they are amazing. Congrads!!! I bet they are loving their new home

Thanks Alex,
there were some scrabbles (lol is that actually a word?)when I introduced them to the JDs but they have all calmed down and actually are getting along fine now. Not to say they will have to be watched in the future tho...

I think these are the Gold Saum, whereas some are Red Saum. I would have preferred the Reds, but.. beggers cant be choosy.. my source is very limited to fish around here. The GTs are about 3 inches or 3.5 at the moment and I think they are pretty young. They are very curious and tho they hide when I come to the tank... they slowly inch over the rocks and take a peek at me. One actually had me laughing the other night. It had to show me how tough it was.. I dont know if it was trying to convince me or itself. It slowly came to the front of the glass, puffed out its gills and started to shake its body back and forth while biting the glass. Ooooo such a widdle toughie.. hope I didnt insult it while I laughed heheh...

LOL....That is priceless!!..I hear they can be little terrors. Good luck with them..They sure are pretty!!.

Ohh wow they are awesome looking! great picts, love their colors..they seem like they are perfectly matched up with your JD's..I hope they grow well together, can't wait to see your new fish!
