Canister or HOB? I have a couple of smaller Whisper hob's that would be good if you used both together, or an Aquaclear 70 (formerly 300) that works but does need a new shaft. The impeller is fine but the shaft is worn down; if the power goes out it needs to be "bumped" to get it moving again. I can pick up a new shaft at the LFS, just haven't bothered since it's a spare. I also have a couple of Eheim and fluval canisters on hand, but not for that price.

Hi Steed. Hope you find your filter soon... Have you checked Craigslist yet for any? Sometimes they have second hand ones or a few that comes with a tank. Then you could get a new tank AND a filter! MTS Good luck!

sorry for not being specific i need a HOB filter. whats your asking on the aquaclear. also those "smaller whispers" be good for a 10 gallon tank?... sis looking for filter also.. thanks

P.S have looked at craigslist none in my area atm.

For the aquaclear $30, and $10 each for the whisper/s. I have 3 of those, they pump a bit more than 100 GPH. They would be fine for a 10, I use one on mine. Shipping for both would likely be around $10.

Ya, that should cover it with Priority mail shipping. The aquaclear is too large for a flat-rate box, but together the two filters aren't all that heavy.

I have a used fluval 404 with a new impeller, shaft, and hoses for $65, and an eheim 2213 classic canister for $45.
