Java Moss Free, or trade if you are able.

I seem to have a bit too much java moss....anyone want to trade for some other low to moderate lighting plants??

My Java is free floating and green all around.

Hi Ted.

Good luck with your sale. I wish I could take some but we live so far apart, shipping would cost a bomb. You could try starting another tank to add some of your java moss. That way you can satisfy your MTS too if you have one

Oh I'm sorry not a sale....just an offer. If you have nothing to trade but really need some please ask.

I have it in all my tanks, no more room.

Shipping is not a problem...that stuff mails fine at regular first class postage.....and weighs nothing(almost.) I'm in Maryland and mailed a bit south for $1.50 once.

Alot of folks are hesitant to buy online and my first experience was a tiny little clump for too many $$$.

So who needs some Grow it out and pass it on to other FishLorians.

BTW i did figure out that it does do best in normal Temp and cool water tanks....does porely in my warm water discus setup...approx 82 degrees F..as stated in most Java Moss info.

In bight light it seem seem to grow algae on it to. Grows slower but best in shaded areas. Baby fish love it!!!!!!!!!! hiding places and feeding off thingy's on it.

Great offer Ted. I have enough Java myself but I want to THANK YOU for helping others get plants at prices they can afford. It less than half the cost of a Latte ...you cant beat that. If everyone in this hobby were doing this it would be so cool.
Get some Java Moss folks!!! Its really easy and quite beautiful to grow.

thanks Nate. I think we should have a Plant Bank and used Equip. Bank. to help those who truly need help. This hobby can be costly for those getting started as we recommend this and that....new folks, as we all probably did....got tanks, filled them up, threw in some fish and...you know what.....BUT by then you are hooked!!!! pun intended.
Helping kids and young people get started is very rewarding (kids of course with parents approval) and like myself there are still a few of us unemployed and equipment ain't on our budget!!!...but in a life or death situation for our tanks...we need the equip from time to time.

Very kind of you Ted! I was given Java Moss and 1 anubia by another member and I absolutely love them both and they are doing very well. I haven't done anything special for the plants, just placed them in my tank. Generic lighting, no ferts or chems added to make them grow.

Sorry the offer is closed from this point, now. Hope to have more in the spring. Thank you all.

Was nice to meet omnitheforsaken. We swapped some mosses and had a nice chat. Met half way between our homes.

Thank you for being so generous. Since you don't have any more to share at this time, I'll go ahead and close this thread.
