I'm curious if there should be concerns about overseas shipping of plants and animals; you may want to look into the regulations on that so no one finds themselves in a bit of trouble. IF there's no problem, then I'm getting some plants this weekend from a friend and I don't mind shipping them to you if you can cover the cost & if you have PayPal.

just thought i'd chime in since i recently looked into shipping plants into the uk. you can do it, but the recipient needs to get a permit from the trade and agricultural department. hope that helps

i have no idea where you'd contact them. is there a gov website or something you can check out or call? i was on the shipping end, and the other party decided they didn't want to go that route. sorry to not be of much help :/

before you send anything check your prohibitions. If you check the with the carrier ( ups, dhl, fedex, etc) it gives you a list of thing you can or cannot do. This has kept me from buying fish from other countries...

i went back and checked with usps to see, and that's the link. it sounds like you could get stuff shipped to you from the us, but it requires permits/licenses. i don't know how easy/hard those are to get, but it might be more cost effective to get them from the uk?
