| Still have a few larger juvies available, and a couple broods of smaller fry that will be large enough to move along soon. |

| Some posts discussing bn behavior have been moved to it's own thread.
It can be found here: received the wee BNs from Todd |

Browns are $2.50 each, albinos $3.50. At this size I can ship up to 4 in a breather bag for $8 Priority Mail, or larger numbers for a few more $$. | How big would they get? I'm actually looking for 4 of them. |

| I just today received two albino BN's from Todd. They seem very healthy and were packaged very will, heat packs were included as it is cold this time of year. I would not hesitate to order from him if I need any in the future.
Thanks Todd |

| I only wish shipping to Canada were feasible. Or that I could find some way to sneak them on the plane since I am going to be in NJ for two weeks.
Gotta hate those plane regulations |

| If I was going to smuggle pleco's it would be L-046 to Australia. They sell for $1200 apiece down there... |

| That's funny because I was looking into buying them and a hobbyist was actually selling them for around $150.00 US dollar but he wouldn't ship to the states. I was SOOOO sad. I was ready to buy 6 of them. But he was on a forum and was only doing it for established members I know that the regular hobbyist wouldn't even think about selling them for that, he was a awesome guy who really just wanted them to be more available. |

| The ironic thing is, L-046 aren't even a rare fish in the hobby, but supply and demand have raised the price to the present ridiculous level. Sure, they're pretty fish, but like other Hypancistrus species they take several years to mature and mostly stay out of sight. I really prefer the L134's for multiple reasons, not the least of which is their relative visibility.
The largest albino's I have are around 2", not sexable yet. All of the albino fry came from a trio of browns, and breeding 2 of them together would produce brown fry. Breeding one brown and one albino or two browns together would produce some albino fry. Hello. I've merged your two posts to save some space.
Thanks!

| Do you think there will be another batch in the late spring? (I'm too scared to buy any during the winter weather in our parts and I know I'll have another tank ready by then.) |

| I'll most likely have more brown fry, but since I moved out the brown male there won't be any more albino fry. One of the red males mated with a brown female, and the fry look brown so far. There may be some calico among them, but I won't know until they grow a bit more. Shipping fish in cold weather isn't any problem with insulated boxes and heat packs unless the package would be sitting out in very cold weather for hours after delivery. In that case it could be held at the post office for pickup. |

| I have around 100 brown and 50 albino juvies available, all too young to sex. There are a few larger juvies (~2") from earlier spawns lurking in a couple tanks, most are 1.25-1.5" though. |

| How much (and would you even do this) would shipping to Canada be? A friend of mine is also in the market for some bristlenose's and we were thinking it might be feasible (since you have such wonderful fish) if we were to split the cost of shipping. We would be looking at 15 of these beautiful fish if possible. |

| Based on a 10 lb box, Priority Mail shipping would be $40, estimated transit time of 6-10 days. A long time for bagged fish, particularly small ones w/out much fat reserve.
Express Mail International would be $60, transit time 5 days. Heat packs are only good for a bit more than 72 hours.
I have no idea what the customs regulations are, though I didn't see any exclusions or restrictions on aquarium fish on the USPS page. If you like, I can ask at the post office for more detailed information. |

| I need your postal code to check on FedEx shipping. Global Express Mail through the USPS prohibits any live animals, would cost $125 even if possible. |

| FedEx ground would be $55 based on 20 lbs. They say 5 days for delivery, faster and likely more reliable for timely delivery than USPS, provided all the necessary paperwork for customs accompanies the shipment. I haven't been able to find out exactly what that would be, or where to get the necessary doucments.
I'd think doubling the volume of water (20 lbs instead of 10) would increase the chances of the fish surviving longer in the bags. Assuming the water doesn't get too cold, (heat packs don't last that long) ammonia buildup is the main problem. I could bag the fish with a bit of zeolite to absorb ammonia in transit. |

| Sorry bout the late reply, I was down in NJ for about 2 1/2 weeks Would you happen to have 15 albino's for sale? I checked the price at the LFS and even with shipping it's cheaper, and i just love how healthy your fishies look. So I am definitely still interested in purchasing from you, I'll try and find out on my end what paperwork I would need to get. |
