Any catfish that has whiskers, is 99-100% carnivore. So the veggie idea won't work for it.
You could try some brine shirmp or any other meaty food available from the pet store. If they don't have anything that would be accepted, ask the people at the store what meats would be able to be allowed into an aquarium.

Re: what else would my bumblebee cat like to eat?
thanks for your help! I have an assortment of frozen fish food that I bought, too bad it doesnt tell you which is which tho as they are all in the same container. with about four rows of the different kinds. Brineshrimp is one of them and I will try it, by trial and error which one is the brineshrimp. cant tell til they start to defrost in the water.
dave, I have seen that site, thanks for the link. Its hard to tell which one this bumblebee is, they are so much alike.

maybe you'll have to post a pic on the new food forum to get IDs on the food. yea, they are similiar.. i guess you can try things and see how he likes them. a lot of fish don't read the fact sheets anyway and do their own thing.

well.. once they start to defrost I can tell the bloodworms for the brineshrimp. the green veggie one is all gone, the fish really liked that one. but the rest, including the cichlid type are all red in color, so its hard to figure out which is which. I have containers of the cubes that have been melted in the fridge, but they just get thrown out. From now on when I buy them i will get only one type for each package and solve that problem.
