Bumble Bee Catfish compatibility

I have a 30 gallon tank that currently contains 1 betta, 1 african dwarf frog, 1 large snail. 5 cories (1 spotted, 4 albino), 5 neon tetras, 6 pristella tetras, 4 kuhli loaches, 2 dojo loaches, and 1 clown pleco. Would a bumble bee catfish be compatible with this community?"

the kuhlis are all currently 1.5-1.75 inches, the pleco only about 1.5-2 inches and the tetras (each species) range from abour 1.25 incehs up to 2 inches. the Dojos are both young and small, only about 2.25=3 inches apiece.

Also, I am sorry but for those who will ask, I do not know my water parameters right now, I am out of testing supplies, for the last month or so I have simply taken samples to petco once a week to keep a breast of any problems.

Hi jbradway!
Welcome to fishlore!

It sounds like you're fairly ontop of things but I'm afraid I don't know much about bumble bee catfish. However I'm pretty sure that you are stocked and possibly over stocked with your current occupents. The thing about stocking a tank is that you have to do it according to adult size. The dojo Loaches alone can reach 18" each.

You have the right idea taking your water to petco to test it however you should invest in a liquid test kit asap. Most pet stores test with paper strips which are notoriously inaccurate.

I'll edit with a link to the bumblee bee catfish in a mo.

EDIT: here it is. there are at least 3 links to information on your guy in here.

Yeah, I am a bit confused about the dojos. the guy at petco said they only get about 6 inches long and most of my research only indicates a a max size of 10-12 inches. I just cant decide how big they will get.

also, I believe both of my dojos are spotted dojos if that makes a difference.

My apologies about the 18" in thing I must have got that from something else. However they'll still over stock you.

Dojo loaches also prefer cooler water; they're more compatible with goldfish than tropicals.
A bumblebee catfish would make a meal of your neons, quite likely the kuhli's, and any other fish small enough to fit into its relatively large mouth.
