My New Bumblebee Catfish

Hi, I just got new bumblebee catfish and they are staying at the bottom of the tank.I was wondering if that is normal for them.I would share pictures of them but you cant see them really well. Will they be ok and can I put them in a tank with others fish, will they eat the other fish?

Bumblebee catfish?
That's different.
Any fish will be timid when first added to a new tank.
Give it a few days.

My bumblebee catfish when I had them were pretty shy. they tended to stay hidden alot. What size tank do you have them in? I had mine with platies and mollies and barbs back then even a gourami, it didnt seem to bother them.
Maybe yours are just acclimating to their new surroundings?

Nice to hear that Spirit is still doing great. He is over a year and a half now. Good job your doing! Ive never seen peaches tho...
Im not sure what other smaller fish you can add with your South American bumblebee cat fish. Maybe you can add one dwarf gourami with it?

I think that is wonderful! Now you can have other fish besides the Betta's.
Your bumblebee catfish will grow to about 3-4 inches long, and with two that is about 8 inches of fish. They are bottom dwellers who rarely leave that area of the tank, so you can get a fish that swims mid to top of the tank like the very pretty Dwarf Gourami.
Maybe some others will have some suggestions for you.

they really are. And there are a few different types too. Just make sure you get Dwarf Gourami for your tank and not the blue gourami or gold gourami, as those get much to large for your tank. The dwarfs and the Honey gourami's would be a good size for your tank.
You have time to decide which ones you like. And just a reminder, make sure that you change out the water in your tank every day at about 30% and use some Prime water conditioner to detox the ammonia that will be present in your new tank til it cycles.
