Ok well the tank is 55g all parameters are in check. Filtration is a peguin350 w/o biowheels, it has a insert filled with diamond blend media. Teperature was a 78F and I raised up to 80F. I've had easy breeding with Platies,swordtails,mollies,cichlids. But for some reason guppies are giving me a hard time to breed them. Is there some trick I missed?

I have 3males and 5 females

Good, you should have 1 male to every 2 female but that would be ok.

Is there something im not doing right? I moved 1 female to a 1g tank with no substrate a heater to keep the water 80F, a filter with a foam covering at the intake on saturday.

It could be that the male is not carrying enough sperm.....

uh huh hmmn maybe if I transfer all the males over for 1 week with the 1 female?

That will stress the female too much.

plus the males will compete with each other. I think the best ideo is to give them some time. How long have you had the male and female guppies?
