Hello Fish Breeder,

I have 11 Bloody Parrots and to my knowledge there is no way to sex them unless you see the exposed papilla.

FishBreeder if you would be so kind as to use punctuation and set you posts in paragraphs it would be a great help and much easier to read. Too, it's good forum etiquette.

Best of luck with the breeding. I wish I could help you more.
Please keep us posted on your progress.

Yes,I'm quite sorry. I'm not all that good with punctuation. I know how to do it, It's just with the typing I am slow so I just try to save time by skipping a few things in my literary typing.

Thanks FishBreeder.

Here are a couple of links that you may find informative if you haven't seen them before. One of them states that Males will turn pink under the gills when in the mating process. However, all of my Bloody Parrots turn colors of all sorts during mating time. Some even go almost completely white. Some go almost calcio or cow print pattern. I have yet to come across any information concerning sexing, that holds true for the Bloody Parrots that I have

Aren't jelly cons just cons bred with parrots? If so you could hybridize.

jelly bean cons are indeed from a pink male con and a female br parrot...finding parrots that arent sterile are the toughest but not impossible

thank you every one, but my convicts are black convicts, and hm my bad forgot to feed them today and they ate all but eight of their fry. Which really made me mad. Mainly because I had them pretty much already sold. Now I have to wait longer. I am hopeful that the parrots may breed with my cons.
