what do people mean when the female krib is carrying eggs?? do the male and female mate and is there a period of time she develops eggs, until she lays them and then the male fertilizes them? Can anyone tell me step by step please. ive done some research but have not had this explained.

They are egg layers, so when the eggs are laid is when the fish mate. The male and female will court each other, possibly for days before hand until she is ready to lay eggs. No idea when they actually develop inside of her. But once she lays the eggs, thats it for her carrying eggs.

i had a pair of krib and a blue in a 29 gallon. the female krib and the ram would try to mate and chase away the male krib. so i was going to take the pair back to a LFS for some store credit. so i fish them out left them in my quarantine tank (only 6 gallon cube tank) and lately that night i noticed egg in a small pot.. Shoul i leave them alone or should i put the pair and the egg back in the 29 gal and put my ram in the 6gal cube..??or should i wait for the egg to hatch and removed the parents and the fry??and if i do move all them to the 29gallon will the pair take care of the fry still.. i got 10 neon, 3 guppy, 2 skunk cory, and driftwood in the 29 gallon
