Angel's first time eggs, newb questions.

Heya all, been a while since i last posted but my angels have laid eggs and i have a few questions.

Half of the eggs have turned white while the others remain kinda clear, Does this mean half the eggs have died ?

How long does it take for angel eggs to hatch ?

Im thinking of leaving them in the community tank but i will wipe all the gravel to one side and put mesh down the middle to seperate them from the other fish and remove the parent angels once they hatch.

This is the first time they have had egg's so im kinda excited.

white eggs=not fertilized and parents will usually eat them...
after 3-4 days you will see wigglers by day 7 they all should be free swimming
congrats!
share some pics when you can

Dont be surprised if they dont make it the first several tries. They tend to learn as they go and eventually you will become "good parents" At first they tend to lay eggs in the wrong spot and eat them when they get nervous. They will get it right. It would be a good idea to seperate them but dont remove the parents. They actually keep the babies in a group by taking those that stray into their mouths and blowing them back into the group. They have a family process that differs from other fish.
Very cool process to watch, your lucky!

Awsome, thanks heaps for the replies. I will leave the parents with them in their own part of the partitioned tank i have just made about 15 mins ago.

I also read that a soft night light is good to have so the parents can keep an eye on the fry in the darkness of the night. So i put my USB webcam next to the tank with it illuminated but not too bright! only just enough to just see the fish outlines

And yes i can start to see a little black dot in each of the clear eggs so the wrigglers are comming along nicely.

you should leave the tank lights on 24/7 otherwise, they might eat them in fear of others ....you get algae from doing so, but its very easy to clean off

Really!! i thought that fish needed to have a bit of darkness to rest.........

If not i will just turn up the usb light to 100% cause the tank is in my bedroom and i know i need sleep.

my angels will eat all their eggs/fry/free swimmers the second I turn out the lights...and yes they do need sleep but when raising fry , they need to feel they are on guard and in control too

I used a soft light...almost a nite lite....just enough to illuminate the egg/fry area. I did not keep the whole tank lit...of course I have a 55gal...4 feet long and had the light at the end where they spawned...main tank lites were off at night.

Ah well i did put the soft lighting on but it looks like there are no swimers left, they must of eaten them.

This was their first batch so its all good because it means i will get them spawning again in good time.
