it depends on the procedure you do to save them..leaving them with mom and dad, less survival...leaving them with anything else in the tank, less survival..keeping them in a bare bottom tank, sponge filter, prestine water, partial changes every day, feeding properly as fry and as they grow, great sucess ...

Live baby brine shrimp and microworms would probably help with the survival rate. They also need to be fed much more often than adult fish. Some live plants are also helpful, both for maintaining water quality and for providing an environment for micro-critters that the fry will feed on.

along with toddnbecka's recommendation, golden pearls, decapsulated eggs, spirulina , microworms, baby brine shrimp, are great to start them off with until they are a month or so old..flake food isnt much for them as small babes...and you must do partial water changes every day as food waste can build up so very easy...you almost want 0 everything, including nitrates with juvies...butterfly raises sucessfully, allot of angels and im sure she will have more advice

Also you can try making infusoria. It's very easy and great for those teeny tiny little fry. I have Blood Fin Tetra fry right now and I can't believe how small they are. Fisrt batch of those I've ever had. That's what I feed them right now. Will change to newly hatched brine shrimp in a few weeks.

Clean water is almost as important as what you feed them. They need to be fed several times a day and waste food fouls the water faster than it's believeable.
I do 50% water changes everyday for the first month. I also clean the bottom of the bare bottom tank with each water change. Food can stick to the bottom and decay causing a slime that bacteria grows in. This bacteria will kill your fry.
Newly hatched baby brine shrimp, first bites by Hikari, Decapsulated shrimp, golden pearls all good foods for new fry.
