WOW, so many babies

Well I was worried when my Molly had babies and I only manged to rescue 4. So fixed up a seperate breeder tank to put the platty in. I came home from work at lunch and noticed she didn't look like she had swallowed a marble any more. I saw couple of babies and tried to scoop them out. No luck, so I took the mom out and all the plants and found 32 babies. I am going to leave them in there until I can get another breeder net. I have a dalmation molly that is going to have babies soon, so I need to get the babies out so I can put her in. I don't know what to do with all these fish because my 55gal is full now. Oh well, guess it is time for another tank. lol

Nice litter, ha! Just remember to keep that water really clean if you want them to grow to be big and happy.

I think I can find homes for most of them and I'm sure I'll loose a few. The only problem is that I have a Molly that should give birth in the next few days. I think I'll leave her in the main tank and let the little ones take there chances. The only problem is that I have a bunch of plants coming in the mail tomorow and I need to redo my tank and I don't want a bunch of liitle fish getting burried in the substrate with the plants. I did learn why you don't need gravel in the bottom of a breeding tank. I tried to scoop out some of the new fry and I ended up mashing them on the gravel so I figured I had better leave them alone till they grew a little.
