when will the fry come

hi i am wondering if any one can tell how soon this platy will have its fry

see the black spot infront of ist anal fin is that a gravid spot or just part of its wag tale colors.
and is it time to put her in the breading tank yet.

and i have 2 of the same platy so i couldent tell them apart so the platy in pik 1 may be a differnt platy from the platy in pik 2.

hmmmmmm I'm not a Platy expert but I think she has a a bit more time before she gives birth. I'm pretty sure they get a good bit larger (belly wise) than what I'm seeing in the picture. I'm sure you'll get some more responses. Best of luck for healthy fry!

I'm not sure either, but I have a platty that is so big you can see all her ribs sticking out on each side and she hasn't gave birth yet. She looks like she swallowed a marble. I think my fish looks bigger than yours. I think it takes aroun 20 to 24 days. I had a molly that I watched for weeks. As soon as I was gone for a few days she had her babies and they were all eaten. I now have a small tank I put my pregnant fish in. But still they get eaten sometimes.. At this time I have four dalmation molly fry. That is all I was able to rescue before they were eaten for lunch.
