I have a 10g tank to start with. I bought 3 mollies and 4 neon tetras lost one of the tetras about 2 weeks after getting them. after that i bought an otocinclus. i have had them all for about a month and a half. I was planning on getting my 55g tank set up shortly after but haven't had the time till now and have to. I came home tuesday morning and turned the lights on and sat in front of the tank like normal and saw a baby fish swimming around. i then started looking around to see if there were more and began counting them(it was kinda difficult due to a bunch of plants in there) after many counts i believe i have 19 baby mollies.
wednesday morning i come home and do the normal lights on and sit and my neons are being kinda weird. I watch them for a few min and then bam they wiggling up against each other and then i see eggs floating down to the bottom of the tank. the other tetra was eating the eggs behind them so i immediately feed them to get the tetra to stop eating the eggs. I am very excited especially since ive read it is very difficult to breed neons. I just hope that some of the eggs survive and then the fry...
I already have my 55g set up so that my tank wont be overstocked as i know a bunch of people would be hollering at me for. I also will probably give/sell some to the
LFS.
