There may be more that made it...they are just hiding. This makes me want to go back to livebearers. I used to get soooo excited watching the tiny babies! Just keep her healthy and she will have more babies for you to watch!

Congrats on the baby! I found a platy fry in my pond outside the other day. Floating plants in your tank will help the fry survive as well. Good luck with your little guy!

thanks. ive decided to call him Squirt.
I have him in the breeding net in teh 55 gallon tank with some plants in there to make him feel more secure. He ate today. I have a jar of baby brine shrimp for the swordtail fry and he munched on a bit of those. I cant put him in my nursery tank for a while though. ive got 6 swordtail babies in there but they are big enough now that they could eat this little fellow. they are not big enough however to go into the 25 gallon with the other swordtails as there is an angelfish in there that i think could still eat them.

Oh I love it when that happens!
Last night I put my massively fat female in the trap. Woke this morning to find the smallest fish I have ever seen, ever. Her name is Suzie. The only problem is, the fat fish is still fat, and the other fish that is pregnant, doesn't seem to be.
Oh the mysteries of fish keeping.
