One of my two fish in my tank just today had 10 babies. All the babies are safe and healthy in a seperate breeding net. I wasn't sure which of my fish had the babies. They look like guppies though. What should I feed my babies? Any suggestions on how to keep the babies alive and healthy Thanks!

Hikari First Bites are an excellent fry food, but crushed flakes will do the trick, too.

i think that your next goal will have to be determining the breed of fish. i noticed that you said not sure in your first post. your aquarium info only says you have 1 balloon molly. if you have a guppy in your tank a suggest you update your info

Yah i do have a guppy in the tank... Sorry I havn't updated lately. I've been real busy, i'll do that now

I just feel bad because I never ment for my fish to get pregnant. Both of my fish are females, so One of them most of had been pregnant when I baught her.

if you have 2 females are you sure that one of them isnt a male. post a pic and i will try and ID them. if you have had these fish for longer than a month before the mother gave birth, one of the guppies is a male.

Not necessarally. Female Guppies can store sperm for up to six months after mating.

another way you could tell whether or not your female was pregnant on purchase requires a bit of memory.

if you can compare it to when you saw it in th LFS' tanks to now, can you tell a difference between the size of the belly.

that is not one of the best ones but i still believe that one of your guppys is a male. post a pic if you can

When parents have children the father usually passes out cigars.

It's just a tradition..The cigars that are passed out usually say "It's a Boy! or It's a Girl" on the wrapper.

oh ok. i thought you were trying to make a joke. american humour is so different to aussie humour. like when america bought the right to remake and air 'kath and kim.' i thought that it was aweful and so did society. if you saw our version you probably thought the same thing

even if you dont crush up the flakes. if the fish dont eat it they will pick on it as it gets to the bottom of the breeding net or tank

all of my babies are doing well, so far all 11 of them made it!! yay!!
