I was just wondering if anyone knows how to tell if they are boys or girls. I can tell when they are adults, but how can you tell when they are small? They are about 1/2 inch long now.

It's difficult, the males gonopodiums develop at 1.5-2 months of age, so until then, its a total guess.

With our Mickey Mouse Platy fry all the largest, fastest growing fish ended up being female. The ones that grew slower (and are still smaller) are all males.
