i have set myself up 3 seperate tanks as i want to breed fish not for profit but just to cover the costs of my hobby which seems to be spiralling, 5 tanks 5 pumps 5 filters 5 different floor surfaces plants and fish thermometers foods,
what are good fish for breeding to sell that my initial outlay wont be to much more as my girlfriend is getting more stressed by the day,,
i have got myself a guppy breeding programme underway i was also thinking maybe some angel fish and plecos,, any ideas

checking around your area and pet stores would be best...ask them what they would be interested in otherwise, you sometimes get stuck with hundreds of fry that no one wants ..any live bearers breed easily or convicts deffinately breed easy ....

i agree with shawnie, and breeding fish can be a pretty expensive undertaking in and of itself. chances are if you're breeding livebearers you aren't going to get much for them, maybe a little store credit but they breed like rabbits so most stores aren't going to give you much more than that unless you have a very rare or specific strain.

what size tanks do you have?
