Bala shark

Anyone hqave experiance with bala sharks?? I have two and they are doing this funny little dance for about 10 or 15 sec and then the larger one swims down into the bac right xorner of the tan. It seems to spend a lot of time there. It doesn appear to be sick or anything. On the contrary, it appears to be very healthy. Any ideas?

bala sharks are by nature very active and easily startled fish, so I would expect no different behavior if I had one of my own. I understand there have been reports of possible mating dances in the home aquarium, but breeding in the home aquarium has not been reported.

ps

Bala sharks grow up to a whopping 14" and their growth will be painfully stunted in a tank as small as 55 gallons. For one, at least 90 gallons is recommended because they are so active and grow so large. You should get the most out of your sharks while they are young, but should consider finding them a new home as soon as they grow to a considerable size.

I've kept Balas. They are fun little fish that move around a lot. I used to have three at one point and they would zip around the tank like mad!
