This is so cool, my halfbeak is having babies, I actually saw a fry come out of her butt and swim away!

Luckily, I had a net breeder, one of those net boxes for isolating or breeding babies in the tank.

So far, I've caught 8 of them and put them in the breeder, there is still one more in the tank that I need to bring to safety, and the mom is still pushing more babies.

This is really exciting, I never planned on breeding any of my fish, it just happened!!!

Well, I checked to see if there were any more babies before going to bed, but all that I had was 10 in the breeder box. I think two of them got eaten by the other fish, but at least 10 are safe and sound.

I didn't find new ones this morning so I am guessing that is it!

I am feeding them finely crushed flakes and freeze dried brine shrimp, finely crushed to a powder. They are eating, so I hope all of them make it.

This is my first experience with fry, so I hope to do a good job raising them.

10 baby half beaks, that's so cool!!!
