I started feeding mine crushed flake as soon as I found them. When they were a bit older I started feeding them boiled peas taken out of their skins and lightly crushed. They love the peas!

My platy fry eating green peas.

Feed them small amounts of powdered flake or baby Brineshrimp 3-4 times a day. Small feedings 4 times a day will help them grow. When they're about 3 months they can just be fed normally, as you feed your other fish.

Egg yolk, hard boil the egg, mash a little with tank water. Really grind it up, and then drop the mash into the Fry tank using a cocktail stick.

Only very small ammounts so that you dont pollute their water.

Google for infusoria that is another good food you can grow your self.

These guys are making it sound a lot more complicated than it needs to be. The egg yolk thing is probably more trouble than it's worth. The platy fry are big enough to take food that's a bit bigger than that and yolk is a pain.

My fry are about 2 months old and they are about an inch long. I started them on powdered flake, then when they were a bit bigger i crushed the flake less (2x a day and more when I was around more). A few weeks ago I tried the peas and last week I started giving them a bit of frozen cyclops and today I gave them a bit of frozen blood worms. They're all healthy and happy!

I'm sure other people might disagree with me but this worked for me.
