How long have you had them? It should not be hard to breed them at all. I got my guppies from the store, and the next day there were babies! Then about every 28 days there are more babies! I have my temp set at 79 degrees, and have had no issues with more babies than I would ever want.

Your threads have been merged. It's not necessary to start multiple thread pertaining to the same question.

do you have readings for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate? you could be in a mini-cycle or something could have caused your cycle to crash and your guppies aren't feeling particularly well.

java fern although it can be messy if you do not tie it to something. I had some, and then removed it when every week in my maintenance, I was taking so much of it out of the filter intake. Now, every once in a while, I still find a clump or two in cleaning under things. It gets everywhere, but very good for fry to hide in.

they could be breeding and the other fish are having them for a snack..usually to breed you just have a male/female and add water....its usually a given then ...so I agree lots of hiding spots are a must

Think of the bright side.
You can add another female/watch a never-seen suicidal guppy jump
