must have baby fish

I really want to have fry. but I don't know how to breed ANY of my fish. Are any fish that I own or could own good for breeding, and I would like to know how :;

are you willing to return most of your fish? if so, you could get a few mollies

I don't know that much about breeding, but doing some research would be a good idea.
Some questions to think about.
Do you have a heated, cycled grow out tank? Food for the fry? A plan on what you'll do with the fry?

Breeding fish is easy. All you need is a male and female. You don't even have to do anything. It's keeping the fry alive, caring for them properly, and ensuring you have somewhere for them once they grow into adults that is the difficult part. Livebearers are the easiest fish to breed, but to do it successfully you will need 3 females for each male, and a 5-10 gal tank, which is fully cycled, heated and filtered with a sponge filter. If you do decide to breed fish, please ensure you have a plan of what do to with them once they grow up. Remember that some fish can have up to 100-200 fry at a time. Thats a lot of fish to care for. Heres a pic of my fry tank, for breeding Platys and Guppies.

It is possible to breed livebearers in the main tank, as long as the fry have lots of places to hide. With the fish you have at the moment though the fry wouldn't stand a chance.

if you really want to try breeding, i'd definitely suggest starting with livebearers (guppies mollies, platies) they breed the most prolifically and you'll have a much better chance with them
