how old are fish when they start to breed?

Since i have alot of fries...not sure the sexes of them yet, and i don't want that many more baby fish so i was wondering how old i should seperate most the males and females in two different tanks.

hope you are talking about livebearers

mollies or guppies or swordtails or platies?

whatever it is..

the males will begin to impregnate the females, once the gonopodium is fully developed

think you know how to sex livebearers..

So, separate them once you notice the gonopodium develop..

they're mollies all of them.
