Re: pregnant molly
Mollies usually deliver every 4 weeks. Mine usually do it even prematurely. One of my white mollies delivered 16 fries on the 6th of July 2006 and she delivered 14 today (31st Aug)..
Coming to ur question,
if it is not a black molly, you can usually tell it by looking at its gravid spot. Gravid spot is a black spot which appears just above the anal fin. It is actually the eyes of the lil ones (as far as I've been told). If it is dark enough and appears quite apparently, then you can be sure that she is about to let out the fries.
If it is a black molly, I usually judge it looking at its belly. If it is too huge, she may deliver in a short while. There is one more thing that you can look for. When she is about to deliver, the front part of the fish usually flattens.
