i need to know how pregnant the fish are. i bought them at the store about a week ago and i need to know when they will give birth.

It's hard to be sure with the livebearers, but she will give you some visible clues. When she's getting closer to dropping her fry, little black dots will show in her belly and when she's VERY close to dropping, her back end will square off and she'll start looking for a quiet corner or spot in the tank to drop the fry.

I have 4 female and 1 male platy but one of my female is hiding under the fiter i think she is pregnant what do i do she not swiming about but she has be all week is she getting ready to have them or not
