ive recently been given 4 female and one male swordfish all four are pregnant two later than the others, i think they are due anytime as they are very swollen have black by abdomen, and excuse my frensh are excreting excessivly, is there any behaviour patterns that give away thier time to go, my male is sort of gaurding the one that looks ready hes harasing her as if he knows something any info to help will be appreciated i have a holding pen and spare tank ready for fry

I wouldn't move your fish until they give birth. If your spare tank is of sufficient size, you have a better chance of raising your fry because you could move the adults to that tank after your females give birth. if you move your females now, it could stress them out and might even kill her and the fry.

I'd agree and just say to put in more caves/plants/floating plants.. whatever will provide hiding places for the fry.
