I have yellow lab trio now

One of my juvi females is in the process of breeding with my dominant male. I think I have one more female which leaves me with a male and 3 females. Plus the sub dominant male who looks terrible. The sub dominant males sometime get the "dirty" blotchy look. Well he's got it.
I wanted this ratio for them so I can get a different species or two eventually. Once I get a 60g+.
I am excited for the first time in awhile since all this parasite business started.

Yay. How do you tell these guys apart? I bought three at the last AAAA auction. Pretty fish and they are coloring up nicely now but other than when / if they breed, I have no idea how to sex them.

At about almost two inches you should be able to tell them apart. Males have more of a black trim than the females, males usually are bit bigger.
I can tell usually by the way they act...males are more outgoing than females. All male Malawi cichlids act the same once in breeding mode...if you seen it with one species you'll recognize it in another.
