hey i have got 5 baby convict fry from a friend,
currently they are in a breeder net in my community tank im hoping to get 2 females out of them and them palming off the rest to someone else.

so how do i care for them? i origanally had 8 and i have lost 3 they just dropped dead dont know why, they could be under a little stress as the one angle i have in their seems to have taken a liking and wants to eat them i have another little tank like 30 litres and it has 2 danio and a blue acara in it as he was causing kaos in my 29 gal community with that angle, the tank is only 4 weeks old so i dont want to loose the fry in the little tank incase water isnt good enough even though the blue acara seems to be fine.

what should i do? i dont want to loose anymore fry, so should i keep the fry in the breeder net in the community tank or should i put them in the little tank and take out the danio and blue acara and put them in the community tank??

i have never had fry before and i really want a convict or 2 and i went for quiet a drive to get them as noone where i live seem to have convict.

daily water changes and making sure ALL the water parimeters are right...ammonia and nitrites 0 and under 10 is good for convict fry..or as close to it as you can with nitrates...going from one setup to another, is very stressful so that might be why you have lost some...but check the parimeters asap ..goodluck!
