how often do I feed Angelfish frye

My Angels had babies. Quite a shock. I have a small frye net(6"x8"x8"deep), that I was able to contain almost all of the frye. My LFS ordered me special food for them but it won't be here till Thurs. She told me to feed flakes temporarily, as long as they were finely ground, but didn't say anything about how often to feed them. She said they would take them from me to sell when they got bigger, and would give me some store credit for them. I'm hoping to keep a couple of them. Any advice would be appreciated

sorry, maybe a silly question, but what is BBS?

BBS= Baby Brine Shrimp They are usually freshly hatched.
I have been feeding mine thawed frozen daphnia and cyclops. At three weeks they have progressed to First bites by Hikari.
I know this wasn't part of your question
But whats as important as food is water quality. I do 50-75% water change every day. Any ammonia or Nitrites at will affect the growth of their fins not to mention their life.
Most people move their fry to a tank by themselves.
Keep us posted and let us know if you need anything.
Congrats on the fry

thanks, i change 25% weekly, tank is fully cycled. i test water weekly before i do the changes, and haven't detected any ammonia or nitrite for at least the past three months. my son has a 10 gal tank he is not using at the moment, i will try to put them in there til they get big enough to give to my LFS. i will look for those foods you suggest. thanks again

The other tank is an excellent idea. It makes it a whole lot easier to do daily (yes I said daily) 50% water changes. young fry especially Angel fry need those water changes to grow to their potential. Have fun.

If you can find it, New Life Spectrum makes a very tiny pellet food that's .5mm. It's called Grow. Our small angel fry love it and it's a good food until they're ready for blood worms.
