ok i know it sounds stupid and the answer is in the tank with the little metal clips over the side of the tank with the 6 baby swordtails,

but where abouts in the tank??
i have a 3 ft tank with the filter suction on the far right and the return in the form of a 12 inch spray bar on the left allong the back wall , the return is slintly angled so half is in the water half is out so lightly airating the water.

should i place the net on the righthand side of the tank where the water is slowest? or on the left where it gets a small amount of fresh clean water just washing into the net?

I tend to put it near enough to the filter to get some water movement but only a gentler movement. More towards the opposite corner to the filter but not in the corner.
