im new at having tropical fish and need a little help to know what the signs are to determine if they are pregnant. i have a black molly thats looking a little big in the tummy, but i dont know whether its a male or female. and i have a female fancy guppy. how do i know whether they are pregnant or not?

To tell the sex you have to look at the anal fins. Females will have a fin and the male willl have a godonum( is like a horizontal fin) To tell if they are prego look by the anal fin and if you see a gravid spot(black area) above where they poop then they are prego

How to identify if you fish is male or female

Livebearers such as: Mollies, Platies, Swordtails, Guppy and Endlers are quite easy to sex when you know what to look for.

When looking to sex your fish you need to look for the gonopodium. This is the anal fin on males. This fin is next to the belly of the fish.
