Oh my gosh, my platy finally had her fry..but I don't know which one of the FOUR platies had them....hmmm But last night I took a peek at my tank and saw a couple of itsy-bitsy fry shoot down to hide in the rocks at the bottom of my tank! They were soooo cute and tiny! Hopefully when I clean my gravel tomorrow I can catch them and put them in my 10g. Once I get them in there I can post pics. Can't wait to catch 'em! Yes! More fry!^.^

Congrats on your new fry!! Can't wait to see your pics. Be sure to catch all of them before you clean your gravel so that you don't suck them up. Happened to me before and I was soooo heart broken.

yea, i'm going to do a big water change, so they should come out of hiding. i'm goin to take all my big fishies out too, makes it easier.

I am so happy for you. You must be a very proud mommy. I breed fish too, but they are for feeding my other fish.

I am proud, This is the third batch I've been aware of in my tank. I really hope it's one of my wagtail's, the last wagtail that got preg died due to stress or something... They're really pretty too. I have one that is such a wonderful deep red, it's stunning!

I can't wait until tomorrow when I clean my tank. I don't know where I'll put my fishies though...Maybe I can find some type of a jar or jug they can stay in for awhile...Their mouths are too big for me to put in the 10g with my month old fry. :\

Well all seems to be well with your fry, I wish you all the best and hope they all grow really big, fat and strong!! Put lots of floating plants in with your fry, they love that.

Okay. I just hope more than those 3 I saw survived...I've got a very hungry platy in there, and she's big(Named her Sparta). Not too worried about the cory cats getting them, I have the tank light on tonight(It was off all day) and they aren't very active.

Why do you want to remove all your fish to clean your tank?? If you are thinking of doing a complete tank cleaning, BAD IDEA!! You will totaly mess up your cycle. Never remove all the water cause you are removing the bacteria that your fish need to survive.

im not, i'm just taking out the decorations, and that'll get the little fry out in the tank with nowhere to hide, and i dont want the other fishies to get the fry.
