I think mysword tail is pregnant but i can't know for sure because she is black and i can't see the gravid spot* . So does any one know of any other ways of finding out if she is pregnant or not and how long a sword tail is pregnant before she gives birth

They are usually pregnant for about a month but she can hold them off for a few weeks after this if conditions are not suitable. An accurate way to tell is when she is extrodianarily fat anf square.

My swordtail just had her third bath, so now I have 2 from the first batch, 5 from the second and 30 from the third.

the amount will vary from fish to fish but in my experience mine normaly drop around 18-30. i have seen other peoples drop more.
