Danio babies

hELLO EVERYONE I have a question that I am seriously hoping someone can answer. While doing a routine water change 20%, I vacummed the gravel and to my utter suprise, there were 9 zebra danio fry in the container. I panicked because I only dont have a backup tank, or heater etc, so I rushed out and bought a breeding trap which can be used it said for maturing fry.
I have since bought a small tank but I will have to wait till next week to get a heater and filter, the fry are now swimming, in the trap but they are tiny so not overcrowded, I went out and bought some liquifry food, and so am now ensuring suitable nutrition, but the rest is an utter mystery. What do I do now, how long can they reamin in the trap, in other words I dont know what the heck to do. If it helps my aquarium is a single species tanl containing only danios ten in all. Basically this post is a request for how to raise the fry without killing them, thanks for any replies.

breeding traps arent the greatest way to raise fry, and I would reccomend an extra tank if you want them to live, either that or provide a lot of shelter in your community tank. Thats all I can think of. The trap might stunt their growth (it did for my guppies) and the fry might only live for a couple of days.

They'll need fed a few times a day and try to keep the breeding trap as clean as you can and with at least 50% new water every day until you're able to move them to that other tank. I think that's the best plan with your available resources and they should have a pretty decent chance of making it.

I find my danios spawn about biweekly. If your tank is really densly planted, a few always seem to find a way to survive.

If you want to give then the best chance at life, I would get another tank, or even a really clean 5gal bucket would work. You would want a heater and a spounge filter in it.

Although I have never done it, in the summer some people get them big 20 gall plastic tubes and keep the fish in them on their porch with tons of floating plants. You could try that if it is warm enough in your area.
