honestly I have noticed that the fish have been in "mating" mood since we bought the moon lights I wonder if that had something to do w/ it? About a month after we got the moon lights set up and my kenyi male was matured the female was holding, a week after the moon lights were on the tank she looked like she was ready to spawn.

I don't remember if I did post one on moon lights..
I do know it was my husbands idea for "looks" for the tank, and it turned out to be a big hit w/ the fish. We bought one of the nova extreme lights that has the moon lights in it, but you dont' have to buy the 200 dollar lighting systems like that. The big reason for the fancy lighting during the day was to have the atenic bulbs/florecent bulbs to make their colors really stand out (and do they! but its def not a need to for the fish) They have the LED moon lights, we have one of them on the peacock tanks, they are just as bright, you just have to attach them to your light yourself. (Im sure theres a ton of info on the DIY section too on moonlighting, and the equipment sections)...

Thats also our opinion on what helped our fish, that was the only big change in our tank.
