Green terror breeding?!?!

Well, I understand why 1 of my 2 green terrors was so agressive. I know have a vertical rock with roughly 200 eggs on it (give or take) and they dug out a hollow in the gravel around it.

I was going to bring the terror to my LFS as he has been aggressive for the 7 weeks I have had him and he has the entire tank hiding, and it's a 125 gallon tank.

I ahve 2 terror (2" when I got them 7 weeks ago).

So, if anyone here has successfully bred them, a little advice would be most wecome. I had no idea I had a male and fenale. Both looked the same, and I cannot really discerne a green vs blue fin on the bottom.

I assume I have a male and female as there are eggs, and one is guarding the nest at this point (the bigger one).

Hi Andy
congrats on your GT spawn! I hear they make great parents and there is no reason to remove them or the eggs. they will guard them. The female will stay with the eggs and the male will attack any other fish that comes even slightly near them. They can be pretty aggressive and will terrorize any other fish in the tank during this time and have been known to kill as well. The eggs will hatch in 3-4 days after which the parents will continue to guard and protect the larvae.
A member here may have had GT spawn.. I believe I remember reading something about this, hopefully you will get some first hand experience come along soon with a reply for you.
Good luck with your lil ones!
