I have been doing a lot of thinking over the past few days having alot to dwell on with all this info everone has given me about my fish.


I am sure others have pointed this out but I cant help but to say it.


Dont you all find it a little Ironic that the mom guppy will hold her fry untill she feel it is safe to drop them? Yet she is the most distructive thing to her babies in the tank as she will eat them.

it is ironic but atleast she is helping in the survival of the fittest by eating the weaker ones

They have competing instincts at work. The reason they suck in fry is the same reason they suck in poop, even their own.. they see movement and chomp. With some hiding places though, most or all of the fry can be moved to safety.
