The day after I purchased 2 black mollies one of them had baby's. This is the first time in 3 years of having this little 12 gallon tank any of my fish ever had baby's. I placed one of those breeder houses that floats in the tank to seperate them. What I don't know is how many weeks should I wait before releasing them with the rest of the adult fish? Should I put anything in that little house?

It will be at least 3 or 4 weeks until they can go back in.. basically you just need to wait until they're too big to fit in the adults mouths. Until then, they're swimming snacks. A seperate tank for the fry to grow in is best, since it provides them a safe place to grow and having more room encourages growth. You will have more fry, around every month or so.

They'd probably like a cave or plants to feel less threatened.

When you do put them back in, provide plenty of hiding spots, since they still might get chased a bit.
