2 African cichlids holding

Our cobalt zebra have bred, he has more female to breed with if they are ready to. They are only like 2.5" big at the most, so the female may not keep the babies. And our acei finally bred....we have 10 acei in the tank so it's about time, lol. Everyone is going nuts in the African tank.
Still no camera yet...so frustrating all these Kodak moments happening and no memory card for the camera.
I'll keep updates about the moms progress.

congrats! What are you going to do to try and keep them this time? You said in my babies post that you were losing them. I assume because they are getting eaten. If you know about how long it is, you could move them quick to another tank, and "stress" her out enough to spit them out... worked for me.. even though it was total coincidence. Either way, Good Luck!

The ones we left in the tank, lost their babies. My bf striped the blue hap female last time so she wouldn't eat the babies, 63 fry later. We usually try to move the mom into a holding 10g tank too, during the last week (3rd week) so she can spit in there. But sometimes they panic, spit & have a buffet.
We've got my bf's friend growing out the blue hap fry at his house...so we can have room for whatever else going on.

Dave when having a mixed African tank, you always have someone holding. Frisky fellas.

Cobalt zebra swallowed the eggs, as I predicted. Our last pair did that all the time.

I dropped the camera, it said something about a new card. But today...the camera mysteriously works.

I think the cichlids hop out and play with your camera when you sleep.
