as you can see in both picture the bottom fish has a block stop which is the gravid stop with that picture does anyone know how long untill the guppy has her fry i know the picture is kinda bad because i took it with my phone whick is the olny camera i have

Gups usually have a gestation period of about 28 days or so. It can vary and clean water conditions are important. If you want the fry, provide floating guppy grass and other hiding spots for them.

yea but when will she have her fry because i think she has been pregnant for a little while because i got her sunday and she was probably preg. at the pet store

and my tank is clean that is just my wall that is white because i don't have a backround and its a little blurry because of my camera

Even if you know the day they get pregnant, it's really a guessing game as the gestation period isn't the same for them all and they can hold the fry if they want. Watch for her trying to find a quiet spot away from the others.

she could have had fry just before you got her or if she young it could take longer for her to develop the fry. she will start with only a few the first few times she has fry and then a lot more. good luck.

If you have a cycled tank for them, you could move the other guppies to that tank after acclimating them to it, but with a lot of hiding spots, you should get a good percentage of the fry.

shes still a ways away. she looks young so she will start out small but she will have them every month. I use to have guppys and I supplied all my friends, my sons friends and my daughters freinds with guppy's from my females. she is getting bigger though. I have platy that are really pregnant(will confess I bought her on Saturday on a whim because she was so big with fry) plus I have three other pregnant platy and three molly, one which gave me a fry and now only one female swordtail. so yes I will be selling a lot of fry to the LFS.

I think that she has had a miscarrage because she hasn't gotten any bigger and the spot hasn't gotten any bigger what do i do will she be pregnant for ever

Guppies can hold fry a while, or she may have dropped at night or something & had all the fry get eaten..

They can sometimes drop the fry prematurely if stressed enough.

ok THERE IS STILL NO FRY and i am starting to get worried ok so i dont have a water tester but i know i really need one but for the master test thingy it is like 22 dollars and i dont have that kinda money right now i only have like 12 dollars it i bought that stress coat stuff would that make the fish less stressed because maybe that is why she is holding the babies what else could i do to make the fish less stressed that is cheap to do

The best thing is a seperate tank for the fry with a bare bottom and a sponge filter or 2 in it (or a HOB filter with fish net netting wrapped securely around the intake with a rubber band).

If they're going to be in the tank with the big fish - HIDING SPOTS! Floating plants, caves, java moss, glass marbles for the substrata, etc.. as many places to hide as possible give them more chance to live long enough to be too big to fit in the other fishes mouths.

Crushed & crumbled small flakes are good.. cyclopeeze flakes and Omega One veggie flakes are our favorites. And crushed peas (thawed, peeled frozen peas).

this is just 2 out of 22 of my fry this is when they were not even an hour old now they are a day old i love fry hahahaha there so cool to watch i need to go feed them soon o and how many time should i feed them a day i am feeding them 3 times a day with just a little bit of food every time i am thinking about getting a 55 gal tank and put all my guppys in my 35gal and have the 55gal for all my other fish but i am running out of room in my room so i will have to put the 35gal(guppy tank) in the living room and have the 55gal in my room the 55gal is at walmart for 150 dollars its like a whole kit just without a stand but thats a good price i think and i have a desk that looks really sturdy and a measured it and the tank will fit like exactly perfect on the desk hope my dad lets me am sure he will though i just need to sell some things on ebay to get the money though hahaha
