are we expecting?

im not really sure but at first we thought jaz was pregnant but polly ballooned up surpassing jaz in size i can see a dark spot on jaz but polly is so darkly colored that i do not see one but she i definetly bigger since friday i can't tell if jaz is smaller or just comparing her to how big polly has gotten i seached for fry but found none so i assume that she has had none... are they pregnant? or just really good eaters? i will say that they even eat the algea eaters wafers... thinking of renaming them piggy and snort.. lol

I think they are pregnant. You could try feeding them a little piece of a defrosted pea, that should clear food out of their bellys. If they look alot skinnier after that, they were either fat and constipated, or had lots of babies.

The only thing that our platys ever refused to eat was some diced carrot. Have they ever been in a tank with males? If so, they're pregnant.

Chances are good for them being pregnant but not certain. We got 4 females and only 1 was pregnant. They love thawed, frozen, peeled peas and I think that's a good food for them to get regularly.. Also diced green beans.
