Thinking about breeding bettas

I am thinking about breeding bettas. I'm not really interested in doing it to make money or sell them, but just as a way to expand my hobby. I've done a bit of reading online and I consistently find that microworms and baby brine shrimp are the way to feed the little guys and girls. However, I'm not crazy about turning my kitchen into a breeding site for those buggers. Does anyone know the effectiveness of Wardley's Baby Fry food found at the following website: http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produc...1&pcatid=18501.

Also any tips or suggestions from experienced breeders would be appreciated.

Betta fry need the live food. You'll need a good sized room to devote to the breeding and about $1,000-2,000 in setup equipment.

I've not bred the Splendens, but I think Dino has so he might know better .. I think 3-4 weeks at the latest and about 2 months for the females.
