i want my black skirt tetra to breed. I tried putting them in a different aquarium with a lot of fake plants i had five of them and i put them all in should i just put a male and a female and when i did it they like swam around eachother like really fasts is that a sign of breeding i only kept them in there for like 4 days is that long enough and should i take them out when they lay the eggs or will they not eat the eggs. and if i have fry what filter should be best a sponge filter so that they wont get caught in the filter is there any other kind of filter that is good for the fry and what do the fry eat. how much eggs do the black skirt tetra lay

Fishlore says that they should be in a bare-bottomed tank, and you should pull the adults out after they lay eggs, as they'll eat the eggs.
In addition, I believe that tetras prefer acidic, soft water, so if your water is too hard or too alkaline, it may be difficult to get them to breed.
