I have about 50 platy fry in a ten gallon and I feed them the cruched flakes. The only problem is that the fry hover a t the bottom so they need to wait for the food to get to them. Even then, they don't always get it in time and it just settles at the bottom. How should I feed them to prevent this problem?

They will eat it off the bottom.
Most fish are constantly looking for food. They have to in the wild.

Then eatting it off the bottom is not a problem.

Just be sure to clean up any uneatten food after a while.

With the fry, we'll take a tiny pinch of the crushed flakes/powder and release it under the surface. That'll usually get it to sink down to them faster and as they swim up to it more, they'll start going after it on the way down.
