What size tank is good for a grow out tank?

Well 2 maybe even 3 of my guppy females are pregnet.. Im not sure how far cause i got em from the pet store and they were all ready pregnet. SOO i know everyone says about a grow out tank but im not even sure what size it hsould be and if you should put anything in it like plants, decor and that kind of stuff . Advice would be great!

I had my fry in the tank and if they were eaten they were eaten but about 10-11 survived and they've got colour on their tails now

do you want to keep all the fry?

I left my fry in the tank and I have about 11, starting to show colours on the tail, and another batch.

IF you have plenty of plants in the top and mid portion of the tank, you will have some fry survive even if you don't put them in a growout tank.

I use a fry tank. I just hate to see hundreds of fry eaten, when even with the best of care only a certain % of fry will survive anyway. A 10 gallon tank is fine for a fry tank, and not very expensive to set up.

the easiest to setup would be a 10g kit with netting from a fish net secured over the filter intake with a rubber band so no fry can swim into it. The tank bottom can be left bare and just some caves and plants would give them more than an empty box to swim in.

I think you should get a 10 gallon for fry. Then when they get big, then you should release them into the other tank. How big is your tank with the female fish in them.
