Cherry barbs breed very easily in captivity. Usually after a large water change, you'll see them spawning in plants. Mine do it all the time, but I"ve only ever had one baby survive since I just leave the eggs in my community tank. The eggs and fry usually get eaten, so you have to set up a spawning tank, separate and condition the parents with live/frozen food before putting them in, and then keep watch for spawning. You then need to remove the parents so the eggs can hatch and then of course care for the fry with a lot of WC and feeding etc.
