Well my kribs are 2 months old now, 6 are going to one person & someone is taking the last of them this weekend.

My babies are close to juvies...there are a few I can tell which sex they are: the ratio seems to be more males...unless they change...but the "female looking" ones are shorter/squaty like a grown female. The biggest one is a male...he looks like his dad but he has a single spot in his caudal fin...you can see the red trim on the "male looking" ones dorsal fins. Some have a lot of spot in their dorsal like their mom's.
I wish I could keep them all just to see how many of each sex there is...but I may keep 4...depending on how big of a tank we get for xmas.
I know I have to give them up but I feel sad a bit.

I did help raise them.
I feel like I was just excited about them flirting, now Dad is gone to fishy heaven and Mom has gone to live with our friends who have 2 males...hopefully she isn't a black widow krib.

She wasn't happy alone in the 120g with the other fish who were hiding from her...and I think that by the time the babies get big enough she may be too old to breed. So she should be happy with the males until she choses one to partner with. I can grow out a few & start the process all over again...unless we get bombarded with Malawi cichlid fry.
It was a nice experience to watch kribs mate and parent...I recommend it for anyone who wants to watch fish breed.
